It sorts itself
Filenames become titles, seasons and episodes, including multi-episode and date-stamped ones. Every show lands in one place, in the right order.
You already own the films and shows. LocalFlix gives them the home they deserve: posters, seasons in order, progress on every episode and a player built for your phone. No catalogue to rent. Just yours, finally looking the part.
screen-library.pngRelease tags, mystery folders, episodes in random order, a gallery app that files them between your screenshots. None of it should stand between you and pressing play.
A folder of video files tells you almost nothing. LocalFlix remembers what's what, what you've watched and what comes next.

Add a free TMDB key for artwork, descriptions and cast. It's saved on your phone, so it still shows offline. Prefer your own poster? Edit any title by hand.
Every video remembers its spot. Continue Watching drops you back mid-scene, and progress bars show how far through each show you are.
Mark a single episode or a whole run as watched. Select several to move or remove at once, with Undo when you change your mind.
Search by title, actor, director, studio or year. Filter to Unwatched or In progress, and sort however you like.
Plays MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, M4V, WebM and TS. If your phone can't decode a file, hand it to another installed player in one tap.
New episodes. A renamed folder. An SD card left in the drawer. LocalFlix keeps up without ever taking control of your files.
Point LocalFlix at your videos and everything inside, at any depth, becomes a library. Nothing is copied or moved.
Downloaded the next few? Rescan library folders and they slot into the right show and season.
A missing video keeps its watch history and plays again the moment it's back. If a whole folder goes missing, Reconnect folder brings it home.
Link the right video file to any episode yourself. Folder scans leave your choice alone.
assets/img/folder-art.pngFull screen, one hand, no fuss. Gestures you already know, and a way out when a file won't cooperate.
Add a folder, or pick individual files from Android's file picker.
Titles, seasons and episodes fall into place. Release junk disappears.
Connect a free TMDB key for posters, descriptions and cast.
Watch offline and pick up exactly where you left off.

Every feature, for a small collection.
Keep everything you love. Lose the limit.
Over the free limit? Nothing gets deleted. Extra videos wait in your library, locked, until you unlock Premium.
No servers watching what you watch. LocalFlix has nothing to report and nowhere to report it.
No sign-up, no email, no login. Open it and go.
Library and player need no internet. The only optional trip online is fetching artwork from TMDB.
No analytics, no ads, no profile of your viewing habits.
LocalFlix only reads the folders you choose. Removing something from your library never deletes the video.
Your videos. No hidden catalogue, no cloud library, no confusing monthly plan. More in the help centre.
No. It organises and plays video files you already have on your Android phone. There's no catalogue and nothing to download.
Yes. Your library and the player work offline. Fetching optional TMDB posters and details needs a connection and your own free TMDB key.
LocalFlix adds MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, M4V, WebM and TS files. Whether a particular file plays depends on your phone's decoders. If it can't, open it in another player straight from the error screen.
Missing videos show as Unavailable and keep their watch history. If a whole folder can't be opened, Reconnect folder points LocalFlix to its new home. You can also link the right video file to any episode yourself.
Never. Removing a show, episode or movie only removes it from LocalFlix. The video file stays exactly where it is.
No. Free covers up to 10 videos. Premium is a one-time Google Play purchase that removes the limit, and you can restore it after reinstalling.
Not yet. LocalFlix is coming to Android first. An iPhone version is planned.
